As a writer we are constantly plagued with self-doubt – Am I good enough? Am I promoting enough? Do readers enjoy my books? I could go on and on…
So, it’s always wonderful to receive either praise, a good review, or some sort of award for so much hard work. It’s a validation that we are on the right path in our author careers. Below are some that I have received recently –
2018 – Nominated for Favourite Debut Romance Author by Australian Romance Readers Association ARRA
Unfortunately, I didn’t win that year, but it was lovely to be nominated.
2019 – I entered into Romance Writers of Australia ‘First Kiss’ Competition and became a finalist with a scene from my upcoming Hot Contemporary Romance Having Faith.
2019 – I entered my book Justice in the ‘Strut Your Stuff Award’ in Maine USA, mainly for exposure in the American market. I was fortunate enough to win first place in the Paranormal Sci-Fi Category for my book cover and blurb.
2020 – I became a finalist in the Romance Writers of Australia RuBY Award, and in August at their annual conference I was awarded first place in the novella category for my Christmas book Whistler Wonderland.
